Mind Cooked

I don't know about you but these days everybody has an issue with food. I mean yes I do fall under that category being vegetarian and all. But honestly I feel as though people are far more concerned about their weight and diet than in the past. Few of us actually stick to the diets we set for ourselves but we tend to still have endless arguments about which is the latest diet to follow or which foods will boost your metabolism or when was the last time you set foot in the gym.

I think it's fantastic because people should look at their health as being one of the most important aspects of their lives.
I mean in school for example students no longer have say 5 slices of bread instead they will have a healthy salad for lunch.

Food that used to be a form of enjoyment has now, through the lets call it "health conscious movement", become a burden on our psyche. I mean just last week my brother and I were in the grocer and we both felt like a chocolate but because we feel so obliged to be health conscious we searched the whole store for an alternative. We did come across a delicious bar which consisted of dates, raw cocoa and cinnamon but I still crave the pure enjoyment chocolate can bring one.

There are so many theories and beliefs out there about food and your diet that it has become quite a challenge to know what is valid and actually the truth. In that sense I feel sorry for the younger generation as they need to make up their mind on how and what to eat and then come to find that in two years time the research has proven that what they believe may not be the right thing to be doing after all.

Well, all in all I just really hope this "movement" can only have positive effects onto our society.
